Neil Kelly is the founding and senior pastor of Refuge Church. He is endeavoring to build a life-giving culture and focus on leading people into an intimate relationship with God.
Neil was born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI, and gave his life to Christ there when he was 18. He went on to graduate from LIFE Bible College East in Christiansburg, VA with a Bachelor of Arts in Theology. Passionate to see the ministry of God’s word brought to his home town of Kalamazoo, Neil and his wife Christie returned to Michigan from Orange County, CA to pioneer The Rock’s first satellite campus in 2006 where they continued to pastor until 2013.
Neil and his wife Christie, also a licensed minister, have been married 21 years and have been serving in ministry for 20. Together they have pastored people of all ages in Virginia, Illinois, and California. They have three wonderful children: Mariah (13), Makenzie (12), and Neil II (10).
